Panel 6: “Invest in Women: Accelerate Progress”
Edi Gusia is the Acting Chief Executive of the Agency for Gender Equality within the Prime Minister’s Office of the Republic of Kosovo. In this capacity she leads the agenda of ‘gender mechanisms’ in the public institutions of the Republic of Kosovo in implementation of the legal framework that guarantees gender equality in Kosovo.
In 2005, she was engaged as a in supporting the establishment and implementation of the mandate of the newly created agency. In 2007, she joined the agency as a civil servant and from 2009 to 2016, she headed the Monitoring and Reporting Division within AGE.
She has experience in drafting the main public policy documents in implementation of the Law on Gender Equality and advancement of the gender equality agenda in Kosovo, in a gender-responsive manner. She holds a Master’s degree in General and Comparative Literature, with a focus on women’s writing.
