Panel 2: ” Leading the way towards Capitals of the Future in the Region”

 

Danela Arsovska was born on December 20, 1979 in Skopje, she is a Macedonian politician and lawyer.

Supported by the VMRO-DPMNE party, she announced her candidacy as an independent candidate for mayor of Skopje where she won the local elections in North Macedonia in 2021.

 

At the national level, Arsovska is a representative in the Assembly of the Republic of North Macedonia in the National Council for European Integration since 2016. She is also a member of the Public-Private Partnership Council in the Government of the Republic of North Macedonia. In 2014, Arsovka was appointed chairperson of the Macedonian Association of Employers’ Organizations.

 

Arsovska received a degree in law from the University of St. Cyril and Methodius in Skopje. She has an MA in Economics and an executive education from the University of Oxford and the University of Sheffield. Arsovska held several senior positions in international intergovernmental organizations and has been a member of the Panel at the World Bank’s ICSID Tribunal in Washington, USA since 2016. In 2017, Arsovska was appointed a member of the OSCE Court of Consolidation and Arbitration in Geneva, Switzerland and has also been a member of the Permanent Court of Arbitration in The Hague, Netherlands since 2017.
