Elena Pici is an experienced manager with a fast-growing career trajectory, spanning both public and private sectors in Albania. Currently holding the dual roles of Chairperson of the Board and Business Development Manager at Air British Petroleum (BP) in Albania, Elena brings expertise in strategic leadership and corporate governance. At the same time, she is offering project consultancy for Kosova Business Forum 2024.
Till recently, Elena served for two years as the first female Secretary General (SG) of the Ministry of Interior/Home Affairs in Albania, simultaneously becoming the youngest SG in the Albanian Government. Prior to this role, she served for 4 years as an Investments Program Coordinator in the Albanian Prime Minister’s Office, where she started as a Fellow of Lead Albania Program, supported by the Albanian-American Development Foundation. Over her career, she has work also for the Central Bank of Albania, Friedrich Ebert Stiftung and other organizations.
A passionate advocate of progressivism, Elena is dedicated to driving positive change in any of her professional and social endeavors, by keeping a genuine sensitivity towards the needs of the team members and the community at large, and a deep appreciation for the diversity of stakeholders.
She holds a MSc in Local Economic Development with Distinction from London School of Economics (LSE) as a Chevening Scholar. At the same time, she holds an Executive Education in Mastering Negotiations from Harvard Kennedy School of Governance, and she is also a graduate of the School of Political Studies of Council of Europe. In 2022, Elena was honored to be a Fellow of European Union Visitor Program, a testament of her alignment to European values.
